I know of a nice apartment in Kaprun 2 bedrooms close to village centre, 11 April for 1 week, if weather holds then you can ski in Zell am See as well on the same pass, but if not the glacier is a few minutes from apartment. Bye the way we were also in Abu Dhabi , kids went to Al Kubairat, ant even remember how to spell it now. If you need any info for this apartment please get in touch

Hi MFC
3000 pounds is a lot of money !! Our apartments with 2 bedrooms would cost you around 125 Euro per night x 7 an estate car for 8 days pick up airport is éuro 255 so far 1130 Euro This year flights straight after the new year were peanuts, I cant say that it will be the same, but based on the last 6 years of business in Austria , it is more probable than not that you will find cheap flights. This year my sons paid about 60 pounds return . Last night I went out to dinner in a 4 star hotel, the buffet was Euro 13.50 per person. Next door to our apartments you can get a 3 course daily special menu for between 12 and 14 Euro , if you calculated 100 Euro per night with a drink etc that is very realistic. So if you managed flights for pounds 750 for 5 of you, plus meals out every night plus a car rental and accommodation you are still having about 500 pounds spare towards the lift passes.Obviously if you want to save money you can mix eating in with going out, travel to and from the airport on the train 28 éuro each way for 5 of you. It can be as cheap or as expensive as you want to make it. After New year I am happy to take a booking that is not arriving on a Saturday, which is usually the most expensive day to travel. This Christmas 3 of our guest families drove from the UK, This week ( half term ) one family flew to Stuttgart, OK 4 hour drive but they paid 29 pounds each for the flight, so it made a half term holiday affordable. There are many ways and means to do it cheaper than a tour op package. If you need help or info please get in touch. Just one point to mention March in our village the kids would get free lift passes. Best of luck. |

Yes but to take the kids out with permission takes some time to organise anyway, you cant just not turn up at school, there are lots of forms to fill in and get approval, so last minute can be a bit of a problem still.

Hi Pablo and Tony
I appreciate that waiting is a good idea if you are young single and can just watch for the right conditions and price etc, but not when you are a family with kids , there are more issues to take into consideration . |

Hi Karen
I have apartments in Leogang , part of the large Ski Circus with Saalbach and Hinterglemm. Leogang is an ideal family resort and from 14th march ( maybe slightly different next year ) kids get a free ski pass which can be a big saving. There is evening skiing, toboggoning and a weekly show on snow, but no clubs so the resort is a true family resort. We have a sauna, hot tub and Sky TV, plus loads of board games, a childrens play room table tennis table football and pool. So actually you dont need to be lloking for anything to do. If you need any more info please get in touch |

Hi
Flight from London Stansted Sunday 15/3 return Sunday 21/3 is 58 pounds return per person. ( luggage is extra ) 7 nights accomodation in an apartment plus a car rental picking up Salzburg airport , full insurance and winter tyres included € 650 for 2 persons. Can be done cheaper with Post Bus from Salzburg, but nowhere near as convenient.Meals locally range from € 8 to about € 25 so you can make it as cheap or expensve as you want, or mix and match cooking in and eating out. If you need more info please contact me with PM. |
