Hi
Can anyone tell me the area in which the flaine lift pass covers? I have been reading about the different runs and know that quite a few go down through smaller villages bellow flaine itself but am worried the flaine area passes i have booked are not going to allow us to get back up. Many Thanks |

The skiing in La Plagne is brilliant. I would also suggest that for the first 2 days or so that you only practice on the runs that you have done with your instructer so that you dont find yourself stuck on a run you cant get down. However there are lots of nice runs around the Plagne Villages which will be great once you have got the basics
All the areas in La Plagne have runs suitible for beginers and it may be worth asking your instructer which runs would be suitible for you to do in the afternoon, they will know which blues are easy or hard which the map does not show! Have a great time |

Hi
I would recommend La Plagne for mixed abilities, there are lots of different runs and if you wish you can still go to Le Arcs, however i heard that the runs to get back again are supposed to be blue but more like red so may not be suitible for beginers or nervous skiiers Also i agree with jonG if you can go later in the season you will get a much better deal or if you can go out side of the school holidays especially in March the price should be greatly reduced There are also lots of different villages in La Plagne so a varied range of accomodation. Hope that is of help! |

Meribel is much prettier and there is much more to do - however there is a slight risk with the snow.
However having skiied in VT in april before it is luck of the draw wheather you have gd snow or not (although thats the same everywhere) The problem with VT is that often it is very icy in the morning and slushy in the afternoon. If you can it might be worth trying to get a late deal, that way you can look at the snow conditions before booking |
