Hi,
I'd echo sunglasses and add that wearing a snood is really great (it's the tube of fabric with a drawstring at one end), wear it round your neck instead of a scarf to keep you warm/ it doubles as a has when it's not too cold.... |

I'm off to Les Arcs/ La Plagne Saturday week and I'm leaving it as late as possible to top up my stash of euros. As per previous posts my hip flask will be topped up (with calvados) for the economy drive.....

I paid 13€ for burger and chips in the Courchevel mountains last season. It was the best burger I've ever eaten to be fair, blue cheese etc. but that is £13 this year.....ouch.

Hi,
Stop off at Alberville on the way to La Plagne for food, take J27 (if I remember)of the N90, can't miss the Geant hypermarket. You don't need snow chains 99% of the time but if you do you're stuffed without them, you can't get out of the resorts and you can't go downhill let alone uphill without chains if it's snowing hard. I had to buy some in the resort of Arc 1800 last January in order to leave... |

I've created a monster...for what it's worth I try to avoid Ryanair as they don't seem to go out of their way to be particularly pleasant to customers, however they're cheap and I'll put up with this for the cheapest ticket...call me mercenary |
