That is some high quality sales pitch at work... Do you think he/she works for the Tourism Board..?
I visited there last winter to have a look, and have to say that the review is about right. I didn't get sued though, so overall it was a successful visit. |

Over the mountains in Slovakia there be Jasna, which is much more a resort than Zakopane - bigger, suitable for a weeks' break, and still almost a cheap

I reckon D'heuz is better. The runs are more variable. L2A is a bit of a motorway resort.

Hi Red,
The lifts are all open unless there is wind. They were open all last week (except a few redundant drags that have been superseeded by chairs), which only open if the mountain is really busy. Been snowing all weekend here.... |

The Tatra ski pass pretty much covers all the Tatra resorts (Hi and Low). But in reality, the High Tatra resorts are very limited. Jasna in the Low Tatras is by far the most extensive and decent enough for a holiday unless you are a big-resort motorway type....
My ski rental place do full kit (carver skis) for €66 the week. 6 day-ski pass is €145. |

There are a lot less boarders around these days as many of them have been hired by the Taliban...
