My girlfriend has already been warned about Hillend Thumb which has given her the panics.
Unfortunately she won't be skiing now as she has got reactive arthritis and won't be able to walk properly for the next few months never mind board. Mind you I quite fancy giving it a whirl to test out my new skis. I wouldn't risk them on Hillend as the carpet stuff can really shred the bases. |

I'm not a boarder personally but these two links were recommended by a friend who is:

Trainers should be fine.
I wore my Reeboks most of my last trip. Any footwear with a half decent grip should be fine. Just don't go for the 5 inch heel with an open toe. |

If you are in the UK a small company called DataWax do a good tuning set.

As far as I'm concerned an aggressive skier is on who goes at it hard, fast and with a lot of energy.
Therefore aggresive skis are ones that allow you to do this. |

I'd like to point out that one of the most famous drinkers and skiing enthusiast was Ernest Hemmingway.
Back to the debate, you'll probably find that the amount of people going on ski trips but not skiing is quite high due to the fact that the ski nut's partner may not necessarily be interested in the sport. Therefore they may do some other activity whilst there partner is on piste. My partner will be going on this ski trip but won't be skiing. This is due to an injury but it is just an example of why people wouldn't be skiing on such a holiday. |

My girlfriend is on crutches at the moment. Any chance of adding a whisky flask to it? |
