Feldberg was great! Nice soft snow, great weather (with a bit of fog from time to time), lots of boarders, and a decent drive. It was pretty crowded, but ok considering it was a weekend after a good snowstorm.
Will go back very soon! |

I'm really thinking about going this weekend. Probably Sunday. If I can get a friend or two to join me, I'll be out there. Hoping for some fresh powder from the upcoming storm!!!

I know it's not skiing or snowboarding, but this is the best site I've found so far that's 1) in English 2) has cool people that actually reply to posts and 3) deals with snow.
So I'm just curious, is snowmobiling popular over there? With all the mountains and snow it's gotta be heaven for riding. Thanks again everyone!! |

Hey Tino...thanks so much for the links! You're right, it isn't the Alps but hey, it's snow on a hill!!
Looks like I'll have to work on my German though...lots of blind clicking on that page...ha! I'll definitely be looking at those links to get familiar with the place. Maybe even get a season pass. Thanks again! TJ |

Thanks for the link to the map! That thing is amazing!
I figured the closest best skiing/boarding would be down in Switzerland. Can't wait to check em out!! Thanks again! |

I will be moving to Stuttgart in 2009 and am getting anxious about being near the Alps. What are some of the closer ski hills to Stuttgart? Any recommendations for getting a season pass? Do they even do that in Germany?
Thanks in advance. |
