We have skied in Les Collons for the past three seasons, and it is a wonderful place to ski. There is an excellent ski school and a designated area for little ones to learn. If lunching on the slopes you have to try Cabane de la Matze - superb rosti! I have never had to queue for a lift in Les Collons ( unlike Verbier) and the skiing is second to none. With Ryanair due to fly into Sion from 2009 i dont suppose it will stay quiet for too long :(
