yes same here , son ski 2-3 x per year. . .maybe buying some cheap cut good 2nd hand ones will be ok for the time being ??

He is 10 yrs now and dad is reluctant to buy anything yet , even though our son skis regularly. He is still growing and every year he would need a new pair. . . particularly the boots. Maybe the ski might last for 3 years (length wise?)
Any parental thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks |

No difference really, but as people have said if you get a pair of hiking boots they are good for any weather back here and you will use them more. Depends what you fancy, and whether you will go walking back here in UK.

Merry Xmas to my lovely son of 10 yrs who is away skiing in Wengen at the moment till tmrw 26th Dec .. . .He needs to come back and rest up as we are going away with my partner on Jan 1st to Megeve (French Alps)

here in salisbury wiltshire it nearly all melted except for some really icy slippery areas on pavements, especially inside Salisbury Cathedral Close.
