Right - I know exactly where you mean - was there a few times in Summer when it was packed with pensioners, but suspect it will be a bit busier in the season!!

8 of us are out that night for my birthday. I'll be the bloke in the black kilt.

Mountains have flat bits??? I'll try and watch out for that in future.

Just wanna clear this up. A standard Skiwelt pass for €194,50 does NOT let you ski Niederau. You would need a Kitzbühel Alp pass for €217 for the 6 days. |

As a boarder we are used to dealing with stuff 10 times trickier than that area of the mountain. I'm actually still slightly unsure if we are talking about the same part 'cos it's a total non-event.
I cannot see how lack of snow is gonna change the topography of the mountain!! |

I would just like to politely say this is bollox. I am a boarder and it is a total non-issue - it's not FLAT at all and not a problem. If you are a total beginner on Day 2 it could be an issue - but on that basis you would be on a button lift someplace!! |

My assessment is that it seems like a fairly harmless little beginners ski resort. The slopes are pretty limited and in the shade, but fine for a young family learning or a couple of hours of hungover skiing. The nightlife will also never be Ischgl or Val D'Isere.
I'm happy 'cos I have a car and a Tirol ski pass, but can't see the appeal if you are an intermediate or better skiier. OK for your 1st or 2nd week of skiing I guess but then you need to spread your wings!!! |
