54 to be exact.
Looks like we might be able to practise in the UK this week if Michael Fish is correct.

44 as I will be in resort by 1100 hrs and ready to go by 1300 hrs.

Good covering in Passo and it's spreading down to Ponte. There's even a little in Sauze. Looks like more on the way.

Ian Wickham wrote:MMMmmm although I love Italy the one thing that has always put me off visiting sauze is it's poor snow record, I like to have some snow in resort as well as on the piste.

This was my main worry but the record over the last 3 years in January appears to have been good so I thought I'd have a change and if it does not live up to my expectations I'll kill the sisiter-in-law who raves about the place.

I agree with Tony, you'll have a great time Adrian. Sauze is very sociable. You're bound to meet up with fellow minded skiers.

I think Adrian has already been looking at the time line. Any ideas on good mountain lunch stops.

Trying Sauze for the first time in January after being a regular to Passo and Bordi. Would be interested in some fresh updates on lively after ski bars and mountain lunch stops.

Does anyone know the area and if that will make a wet-snow, slushy mess there? Should I call it off until next year (sadly)?

Just back from Bardonecchia which is just down the road and it snowed every night for a week and was dumping down as we left yesterday. I think you are infor a good time with plenty of snow unless you are just born unlucky.

Have a good time.

Off 21 Feb, any updates on good runs and mountain eating houses would be good.

Tony_H wrote:Depends on who you bank with. Exchange rate is crap over here, so what I do is take about 100 euros with me, and pay on card where I can, and where you need cash (ie drinks) take out another lump at the cash point. But check your bank to see what they charge first as it may actually work out better to take it all in cash with you.

Seconded
