Hi,
We are going to Val Gardena area on Saturday and we are wondering the current snow conditions if any of you have been around the area. It seems like there is 50-60 cm snow in the reports for the past two weeks. I appreciate if you any of you can comment.. |

If you are flying to Venice, the distance is be around 180 km, not bad.
You can go to Val di Fassa websites, and find information on taxi or other transfer options. There are a lot of private companies doing this type of transfer. Most respond to emails right away, so you can get quotes and compare. Taxi companies around where you will stay might be a good option. But my guess is car rental would be cheaper in all cases. We have been thru the same decision last week to go from Munich to Alta Badia, much longer drive then yours. We ended up renting a minivan to be more flexible..hope it helped.. |

Yes, airport would be a good info. I have done an extensive survey on rental vs taxi for our trip to Alta Badia on 26 of Jan. Let me know if you need help.

Hi,
We are going to spend last week of January 08 in Alta Badia as a group of 6. We are hoping to cover as much of the Dolomiti Ski Region as we can. We are considering renting a minivan to transfer from Munich to San Cassiano or arranging a transfer by a bus company. Your comments on which is a better idea is definitely appreciated. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of having a car in the area? How is the bus transfers between resorts? Thanks in advance for all the answers... |
