apologies. apparently some french schools are still on holiday next week but i think you'll find the busiest period is over.

Half term in england has been mostly last week and some this week. If I remember rightly french schools were this week so hopefully it'll be much quieter by the weekend for you.

Enjoy :D

if you're staying anywhere near the bottom third of the village leave plenty of time for the telecentre (or lobster pot as we referred to it). it took us 40 mins to get to the slopes on the first day and we missed our lessons! it was half term though so extremely busy at every lift. :x

Our embarassment was tempered, just a little, by the number of people who believed it...

glad to hear I wasn't alone

oh yeah, thanks for that admin, I saw it and made a right dick of myself boasting to everyone about it before our trip to les arcs

I'm hoping for best moment in Tignes at easter, fingers crossed.

nice :P

never seen such an empty slope or lift!
Another suggestion to add to the list...

My boys (5 and 9 at the time) and I learnt to ski in Obergurgl and would highly recommend it as a starter resort - high altitude, easy slopes, not too big so undaunting, extremely friendly, perfect english-speaking austrians, 1.5 hour transfer.
I will also rave about Les Arcs but don't stay in 1800 because there is a distinct lack of nursery slopes.
Good luck, enjoy :D
