i think i know what youre getting at with the stag idea. you have to imagine most of the lads will probably be leathered everyday so snow or grass on the slopes wont really matter. ive been to bansko and andorra pas de la casa as a cheap option both were very cheap but not as good as say les duex alpes for night life.

im of to cham on thursday so ill re post about night life then but really mate you want..... a short transfer and cheap beer. the snow is a bonus that most of your stag party wont see ;)

Hi all,
Im planning a trip to the 3 valleys ski area a week saturday. i interested in staying in brides les baines but wanted to know if its possible, should we miss the gondola from meribel, to be able to ski down the olympic gondola pathway back to brides les baines from meribel?

Any other thoughts as to where may be best to find good value accomodation, lively night life and decent access to the liftswould be greatly appreciated ( i know i dont ask for alot)

didnt mean to start a debate but it appears anything u post here raises an issue or two!!
as it turns out we were recomended the LOOP bar by the guys at our cattered chalet, dragon lodge. (well recomended for a relaxed atmosphere and easy simple living! and they know teh mountains inside out )they do get commision each time you use a loop card and you get 10% back too with each purchase to redeem anytime u like!
worked out perfectly and infact taht and bagus bar were the best 2 bars we found for future reference!!
ate at la couliour in val claret in wednesday and it was awesome!!

anyong travelling soon would be wise to try for yourselves teh lodge the bar and teh restaraunt at some point!!

as a little extra lunch and a can of beer on teh mountain....20 euros
lunch and a beer from the spa shop at the lift station 5 euros ;)

i flew out to grenoble 2 weeks ago and the bagguage system was a bit of a joke. we arrived into a small annex with one carosel. which did nothing for 10 minutes so we got the hint and moved into the mail room where there are 2 more carosels but no signs. might just have been an off day. it appeared atht all the bagguage for all the flights landing at that time came off one and all the skis and boards off another so ur best bet is to slit yourselves between both carosels and wait...

hey all!firstly, just like to say how happy i am that everywhere is snow covered n frosty!!
we are going to tignes on saturday and i cant wait!! can anyone who has been recomend somewhere nice to eat for my friends bday whilst we are there, ive heard about a little place in les brev but are the lifts open late?
and is there such a thing as happy hour at the pubs ? lol
