I beg to differ. .. a day on hard packed picy pistes to me is hell !!

yeah, kind of point taken Wanderer....ISWUM. But isnt it great to have fresh snow that not icy ????? And its softer to fall into !

We skiied in Megeve 1st January and for January i was abit disappointed. It rained a bit and the slopes were sometimes icy. . .normally in Jan you have plenty of fabulous snow.

Yeah, like others said i would stick with the bronze ski. . .its still early days as far as trying to ski faster. As an intermediate skier i prefer to stick with beginner skis as on the downhill steeper slopes you are going to pick up some serious speed, which is not always what you want when still learning. !!! Enjoy !!

We are going skiing 31st MArch - 7th April . Me, Partner and 10 yr old son . . .just wondered if anyone in the region similar , who would like to link up one day ??
We will ski the whole area this time , i.e. Contamines, Fleine, Comblous, St Jervais, Chamonix etc. |
