We have a place that can sleep 6 comfortably in Borovets, Bulgaria. It's only 50m from the main gondola & a 30sec walk (in ski boots) to the beginners slope.
Borovets is quite a small resort but its just right for a week. You won't find anywhere better priced! Can't comment on the other Bulgarian resorts or Slovenia as I haven't been. If you PM me I can provide further info on any / all aspects of Boro and pics if needed. Adam |

It has been snowing in Borovets!
A few nights ago we saw the first few flakes in the village whereas the top of the mousalla (highest point in resort) is already Covered in Snow! MyBorovets.com now has two live webcams! One at ground level and one at the top of mousalla! Check them out! |

Of course I am going to be biased, but I think Borovets has everything you need.
Everything is cheap (£0.80 a pint / £5 for a 3-course meal), lessons & instructions are cheap as are things like ski-doo hire (highly recommended) and ski equipment hire. I have been skiing for years and still find borovets enough of a challenge (I'm at instructor level). If you venture slightly off-piste the rewards are tremendous. Nightlife is good too, plenty of bars & restaurants with a few clubs. Check out the site in my signature for more info, or feel free to PM me. DoA |

In a way, lets hope it stays like this throughout Europe - we'll have an amazing winter.
Get me to the slopes! DoA |

Yes, jeans boots and a coat. Nothing fancy. Watch your footing too - I've seen quite a few nasty falls!

This is a very common question amongst travellers to Bulgaria because of the confusion with joining the EU.
Borovets as with everywhere in Bulgaria use Levs. I've created this page so that hopefully people can find the answer easier in future - Currency in Borovets |
