I remember 20 years ago someone saying "in 20 years time it won't be possible to ski in the Alps due to global warming....".
Clearly they were wrong... or were they! |

You really have to feel for anyone in that situation.
Not much consolation but I see Les Gets website says that it is refunding all pre-purchased passes for this week. They also say there's a 'crowd' control limit put in place for Avoriaz capping the number of day passes being sold - I guess you can understand. |

Each to their own. Ours (11 & 12) don't have tablets/laptops with them and Me & Mrs don't go for beers. We tend to stop in together for a meal and play Scrabble etc etc. But we digress, although it does prove that country comparisons often degenerate into stereo-typing (or worse)- see my page 1 comments :!: |

Sorry, I think I must be missing the point there Paulschlote.
20 seconds of the 'Austria' video shows the most hideous thing I could imagine for a "family" ski holiday  ...whereas a week with Jessie J  |

Interesting that I'm not alone.
From a practical point I'm sure custom insoles would not fit in my high-heel shoes -) . Even if they did I would say much longer than a few days would be needed, so your feet get used to having the support. That presumes one knows what the problem is. It also presupposes (like the shop did, in order to sell them too me) that standard soles aren't any good, when in fact they are just fine (for me). |
