last year they offered 15% discount for early purchase of the lift pass so i think celebrating '10 years of Paradiski' and offering a 10% discount is a bit of a red herring.
Having said that i suppose 10% is better than a zero. The paradiski season pass is amazing value - works out at about £700 including Carte Neige. |

only ever managed 85ish and can honestly say that i felt more comfortable with a helmet than not but i am really pleased that you have seen the light. i have cycle helmets and could not imagine using them in he snow..to many big holes in them.. used to ski in a bobble or nothing if the sun was out but they are now saved for apre unless i am tucked up in bed..am i old :( |

Never knew anything like this could be done. It is interesting to see the cam view and tracking together but if its possible i think it would be better to see the cam view as the full screen and the tracking as the small screen. i can see possibilities for the tracking view to be part of a holiday video but only so its on screen for a few seconds to show the actual run which that part of the video is about.
Another use i could see this being of great value would be for a library of these clips for a ski area showing off piste routes. would be great for someone new to the area to be able to review the clips knowing what is a good route and that it is within their ability level and where they need to be to ski that route. Did you use a contour to film this? |

So this entry makes me curious...is it a ski trip or is it a trip that might be able to fit in an hour of skiing(if there is any snow) in with the other outdoor activities that you will enjoy... either way have fun and i would really like to hear what its like there in the summer. |

great vid...what cam was this filmed with and what software did you use? and are you in film editing as a day job? or is the software easy to use? i want to be able to put vids together like this but the previous experience of playing with software packages never turn out as enjoyable to watch as this one.

Just returned from a week in 3v and had 4 days on piste ski's due to snow conditions and it snowed over the wednesday evening and all through thursday so on the thursday morning i wanted to change ski's and there was a wide selection available and decided to try the cham87. MISTAKE!! they were fine on the thursday - everywhere was soft new snow and even the pistes were fluffy :-) and they were fine in these conditions although did not put a smile on my face. On the friday the pistes were back to hard pack and the off piste was good.. they still performed ok off piste although they did not bash their way through snow piles like other ski's i have used.
On piste.. useless other than groomed flat piste. They had been serviced on the wednesday evening and the edges were very good but actually skiing on them they could not hold an edge on the hard pack so hate to think what they would be like on ice. there was no tail power out of turns and there was a lot of tip vibration on faster speeds. I believe they are being marketed as an all mountain ski - I have been on many other ski's that are able to perform much better on all types of terrain than these.. At 650euros i was expecting something much better - wouldnt pick these up again even if they were free. |

For me i ski the piste and all in between and the rest!! so maybe would the american resort sizing of acres or hectares be better... but i suppose there are always the people that dont venture off piste..maybe the ski resort marketeers are all frustrated politicians...cant give a straight answer;-)
