Weekend road trip to Châtel all booked in for 28 February. So, just the 84 sleeps to Ski XIII PtII!
Awoo, and indeed, hoo. |

84 days to Les Arcs. Not my favourite resort, but it's high and has white frozen stuff to play on, so what the hell have I got to moan about?!

Hey, Jon. I had what appears to be an almost identical injury to yours (I was playing football at uni and managed to dislocate my knee and shoulder in the same tackle), leaving me with lateral, ACL and cartilage damage.
I had to have an arthroscopy and lateral release, which put me out of action for about four months. Even now, my knee swells up, cracks, groans and complains, even during mundane everyday stuff. It cracks and gives way and if there's a day when I don't have swelling, I'm happy! The best news I can give you is since my injury, I've been skiing eight years on the trot. I don't wear a brace and suffer from intermittent locking (I think there's still some loose cartilage floating about in there somewhere), but other than a bit of pain and discomfort, I cover as many miles as everyone else. Granted, I put up with the niggles and gripes because I want to ski (I've even given up other sports in case my knee collapses and I can't go back got the slopes!), but it's nothing unmanageable. And Jäger is a bloody good pain reliever! Good luck with the scan. |

I am about to embark on my last kip before ski o'clock. It's been a long wait, but it's been worth it. Bring it on, Val d'Isere!
And to all the other J2Skiers out on the slopes this or the coming weeks, be safe and have fun. Tips down! |

Two until Krvavec (skiing stag do) and 17 until Val d'Isere (my proper annual ski holiday).
And in even better news, that means only 11 working days, broken up by a very long weekend! :) |

Today's the day I broke 50. Just the 49 to go, then
Stupid Leap years  |

Apparently, they've used topographical data from NASA to get accurate renderings of real-life mountain ranges. And you can also race against up to 100,000 people on line at a time.
It would appear EA is serious in trying to take the initiative back from Shaun White Snowboarding. |

It gives me great pleasure to report it is a mere 63 days until I take on the Face de Bellevarde. But from what I hear, I may have needed to start saving last year to afford a beer in Val d'Isere!
But it matters not. White fluffy stuff, I'm on my way. And I'm bringing 10 friends :D |
