My 11 year old has gone over to the dark side over the summer thanks to some cheap lessons on offer at Tamworth snowdome and seems to be coping fine with it.

Why not get off to a dry slope or indoor snow slope and give one or both a try? You'll also have loads more fun in the mountains if you have learnt the basics already.

Yep, have often heard mountain rescue types saying people ain't cold and dead till they are warm and dead!

My Ex hit problems in Vail but me and my daughter were fine. Plenty of advice around the hotel and town in general on how to deal with it
