tino_11 wrote:I agree with everything freezy says. On the nightlife side of things, not a massive amount in Tux, but there is enough for a short break. Taxi fare down to Mayrhofen was 38 EUR 4 weeks ago. Only thing I would add is another hotel recommendation.

Stayed there a few times and its very nice.

Gorgeous hotel, one problemo FULLY BOOKED aaarrrggghhh, next.
i looked at freezy waters suggestions above and there are also some good hotels there but not sure on location, dont want to be out of the village, not concerend on huge nightlife, but near to a couple of bars/restaurants if it has any x

Tino has planted a little seed in my head and i really fancy heading there in October, i have been reading up on it and it seems snow sure most of the year round, One problem T/O's dont seem to start that early so does anyone know any sites for booking hotels there, it seems that the best way to go is book seperate hotel, flights to Innsbruck hire a car and drive there.

So if anyone knows any good sites they have used please let me know, it is the last week of October i am heading out, thanks in advance.

Yes I have searched on here but it seems to be mainly about Mayrhofen which if I have read correctly is in the valley below, and i don't want a bus trip up and down the mountain every day.

I have talked my mate into it so dont mind s/c but would prefer a nice hotel h/b if possible.
I have also read that the nightlife is mainly in Mayrhofen but it can be expensive getting back up to your resort.

Or is Mayrhofen snow sure in October?

Thanks xx
