ok before i start (vested interest here) but i struggle with the whole second hand save yourself a few quid argument...you spend a pigging fortune on skiing, a 1/2 way decent holiday is going to cost £700-£1k per head for a week once you factor in all the extras like a beer at the end of the day and the lunch you said would be a sandwich which turns out to be a little more.... boots last you for years (or at least should do) they are a long term investment in your skiing comfort, performance and enjoyment of your holiday..... a good level of boot well fitted with custom footbeds will cost £350-£500 depending on the boot, break that down over the 20 or so weeks skiing that you should get before the liner is trashed and it is not a lot of money...buying ski gear is not about making a profit over hiring

the reason it is so late (i am told by a very reliable source) is that the BBC will only ay for so many episodes due to budget restraints

skiing being such a minority sport... it seems more people want to watch darts or repeats of victoria wood

personally i think they work but can be a PITA unless you buy really good kit, we use kenwood pro units for the national championships coms between coaches and course and still get to listen to tarquin telling fee fee that they will meet in X restaurant in 15 minutes and all the other dross they seem to have to tell each other... the ones we use are a bit bigger than the average motorola units but worth the extras for what we need them for... you can of course get a licence version with unto 25km range but the licence is valid in the UK and you pay for europe
trencher, UK size 5 not USA so the true conversion would be a 24.0 but in reality if the boot was fitted could be a 23

on the Idol if it is a 23 then 277mm if a 24 then 287mm on the instinct boots it would be 275mm and 285mm respectively

the only major difference between 10/11 and 11/12 model of that boot is the material over the instep, the older model was a little tough to get your foot into, once in not a problem but getting in was an issue so on the newer one they made some grooves in the plastic over the top of the foot to make entry/exit easier, other than that not a whole heap of difference...so if you can get them on save yourself £100
