I always thought a quiver was what you put arrows in (bow and arrow)

I thought a quiver was what my wife does when I...... never mind

Well, now $2/gal has arrived :D , I have seen $1.99 at a few local places, mostly the lower quality/cheap locations, the better stations still have it at $2.05 - $2.20. I can't imagine it will get much cheaper, I think it will get to somewhere between $1.80 - $2.00/gal before it levels off and eventually starts back up. It is hard to believe I was paying over $4.40/gal not that long ago.

Time to bring this thread out again. What the heck does "Slippers for Chrimbo for you!" mean?

Thank you,

40 is the new 25

Getting back into skiing at age 41, I wonder how well I'll keep up. I don't feel old, I am fairly fit and can usually keep up with friends in there 20's when we go mountain hiking/climbing. I have been telling myself 40 is the new 30 (25 sounds even better). I am sad that I only skied once in my 30's, that could have been some great skiing years, but I hope to have at least 20 years of good to great skiing ahead of me and hopefully ski well into my 70's.

As Tony also said above, 60 is old, but it really isn't "that" old, it really depends on the person, some people have trouble even walking in there 60's, I've meet other people in there 80's that seemed to have the energy of a 50 year old. I guess we can all hope to be the latter.

Spyder certainly had a stuffy snob image on this side of the pond

Well I wish someone would have said that before I bought 2 Spyder jackets and 1 pr of matching pants on ebay :?

Even worse while doing a little searching just now I found out that the ones I got are known "fake" Spyder jackets :(

That being said I paid $150 for all 3 items, if they are fake they are good fakes, everything about them seem quality, they are water proof (just put a sleeve in a sink full of water for ~15 minutes and it didn't seep through) and very warm, tones of pockets w/quality zippers, removable sleeves & hood. The inner and outer lining looks nice and the jackets have an inner rubber "gator" type liner to keep snow out.

I don't think I could find a waterproof jacket of any quality for less than $50, I guess I'll find out how long they last.

Well it didn't take too long for my area to get to under $2.50/gal. I filled up for $2.49/gal yesterday and it has actually been that low for a few days now, thats less than 2 weeks since it went below $3. :D Now I am optimistic about seeing sub $2/gal :D :D :D

It shows many things about human nature. We can tackle anything and enjoy the experience. We can be foolish - in the eyes of some, and be proud of our accomplishments.

The rest of us can sit back and be envious of their dedication and "guts" but, as much (or as little) as we might like to do something like this we can be content knowing we will likely not have the chance to do so.

This is the kind of video to watch just before bedtime to bring on skiing dreams all night :!:.

That is quite the vid. Anyone know how to save it locally (The normal way doesn't work). It would be nice to watch it without the "buffering" pauses.
