how was it geordieski?

It was sooooo good, Im absolutely distraught at being back....does anyone have any tips on how to recover from ski-sickness?!! Had such a brilliant time, the snow was great esp in the mornings (bit icy in the afternoons), but the snow over in Auffach was amazing all day.

I tackled my first black run which was a GREAT feeling (and I only decked it the once on there!!!)

There was an international (so we were told) ski race there on Friday+Saturday so we got to watch some great skiiers and were very proud of our little selves for having done the same run as them (even if what took them 1 minute took us about 30!)!!!

The village and people were as friendly as ever, it was nice going back after only being there once and having people remember you!! I think I may even have seen Jan (I saw someone in an Auhof jacket), but was to shy to go say hi in case it wasnt!!!!

Im now pining over the photos wishing I was still there, Im VERY jealous of you caron-a!!!!! I hope you have as brilliant a time as we did (which Im sure you will!)

Say hi to Ray (the crazy Irish dude at O'Malleys) and ask him if he has had the funeral for his snowboard yet!!!

Argh...Im so jealous of you guys still waiting to go!!! Back to work monday for me!!!

 Seriously??!
As far as I know, this was only last year when Easter fell so early that it made better sense to have the 'easter' holidays later (obviously Good Friday and Easter Monday the kids were still off school).

My nieces certainly didnt complain, as they got the full 3 weeks off (they live in Manchester where the holidays are slightly different) in April, as well as the 'real Easter' off I dont think this is an issue this year though!

There is talk among some of my teacher friends that they are going to restructure the school terms in line with what Manchester do (ie 3 weeks off at Easter, 2 weeks off at May half term, and only 4 weeks off for the summer...IIRC!). My brother is not keen on everyone changing though as they tend to get cheaper deals going on holiday in what for the rest of the country is term-time...if every LEA changed the holidays you can bet the TO's would hike the prices for the 'new' school holidays!!
Wow!!! That would be sooo cool....

Totally agree Ross....if only I didnt have to finish writing up!!!
And so it snows

There is a big difference between a chav and a charv in my opinion though.... a chav is someone who chooses to dress a particular way and thinks its cool and possibly has a bit of an attitude problem.

A charv is just plain scary!!!
