One of the guys who was coming with us to Alp d'Huez is now having a knee opp so won't be able to come.
This means we have 1 seat spare in our car if anyone wants to come. We will be leaving from sheffield on the afternoon of Friday 20th March and are willing to pick people up on route to Dover. We will be driving non-stop to Alp d'Huez as 2 of us are insured on the car. There is myself, another student from sheffield and an ex-manchester student who works at ellis brigham. We are all outgoing, friendly guys who get on with everyone and basically if we have a 4th person it makes the car trip a bit cheaper. We will be leaving Alp d'Huez on Friday 4th April and will be drving to Amsterdam for a few days, getting the ferry back on Sunday 6th. We can drop or pick up people from resorts close to Alp d'Huez. We have a fairly frugal 03 plate renault laguna so there is plenty of luggage space and the fuel bils wont be massive. You know you want to! |

Having worked out how much we would save by not driving through france on the way back, we have decided to use the saved money on 2 nights in Amsterdam. Leaving Alpe d'Huez on the friday night, drive through the night to amsterdam and then get a cheaper ferry back to hull on monday, genius! |

Its Black 3 I think Wickers, if my random knowledge serves me correctly, it is too steep/difficult to run a world cup downhill on!

Hi Catriona,
I went to La Thuile in January and had a brilliant time. I have skied for many years but my girlfriend had never skied before. The amount of long, wide and gentle blue runs are perfect for beginners and the fact that its pretty much a big bowl means you can easilly get from one place to another. I would book the lessons through the tour operator. If you have a familly, the last thing you need is to be trying to organise even more stuff. Just pay them the money and let them tell you where and when to turn up. My GF had group lessons that Nielson (tour company) had booked and after 3 days was doing some easy red runs and they went into France (La Rosiere) in the last 2 days which she enjoyed the novelty of. Hope this helps, have a great time. Tom |

Hinterglem/Saalbach - Great snow, brilliant resort, awsome apres-ski!
Any place that has a pub with live goats in has to be worth a visit and the resort has lots of slopes of all different levels. Failing that, Mayrhofen is a safe bet. Tom |
