One important thing to remember when booking a catered chalet, is that not all of them have en-suite bathrooms. You'll often have to share a bathroom/toilet. This can work OK, but not to everyones liking. If you want private facilities, make sure you read the room descriptions properly.
Generally in a catered chalet, you'll get full breakfast including hot option, afternoon tea ( cake and a drink)and 3/4 course evening meal with wine. This will be for 6 nights only as the chalet staff will get one night a week off. You will be mixing with the others in the chalet, all eating around the same table. I've not had a bad experience yet. Most skiiers are like minded, and mix well. |

Lots of TO's have chalets available that week. Check out www.skitotal.com for instance. Catered chalet in Chamonix £800/couple incl flights/transfers.
There will be other people in the Chalet to ski with, as well as ski guiding offered by hosts. TO's aren't everyones cup of tea, but at these prices you'll struggle to beat them. |

Sarcasm, my favourite form of wit, so I can't moan about that. :D :D |

The Matafan is in Belle Plagne. Eaten there couple of times and it is good. However it is also the most expensive restaurant in Belle Plagne. If you're trying to save the pennies then you might want to look elsewhere. Papagonne and La Face Nord are good too, and less pricey. Wouldn't worry about two blokes eating together
You're probably sleeping in the same room, so eating together is the least of your problems. I refer of course to snoring. |

This is not a forum for bigots to air their prejudices. Those doing it need to stop, now. If the programme was funny, that's great, but that's where it should end as far as a public forum goes.
I love my skiing, and have met some idiots on the slopes. However, these people are idiots, because of their actions, not because they're 'toffs'. I speak as a hard working, underpaid commoner. Who's next in line for some abuse. Northerners, Southerners, Americans, Muslims, Christians? Taking chalet holidays give me the chance to spend time with a whole cross section of individuals, and I love that. Lets keep this forum to snow/mountain related topics |

When working out your route, look for Moutiers, and then Aime La Plagne.
Plagne 1800 is about 2.5 hours away by car, Moutiers about 1.75 hours. Better off entering the French postcode for Plagne 1800 on Multimap or Mappy, or in the Sat Nav. It's 73210. |

If you like eating up the miles on holiday, then get the full pass. There is loads of skiing/boarding on the La Plagne side, but well worth a day or two over in Les Arcs. In Belle Plagne you are perfectly positioned to take full advantage of both sides.
The hire shops in Belle Plagne will have a good selection of bords for you. I would recommend you go to the Intersport website; http://www.intersport-rent.fr/FrontOffice/rent/page/pack.aspx?magasin=1041&langue=2 You can hire kit to suit you, and they are very good/friendly. Belle Plagne is quite small, and only 3 or 4 bars, and one nightclub |

You've lost me on this one :?: Why are you 'taking sides' :?: Charlie26 has asked a simple question about Sky TV in resort. We don't need to debate the merits of watching TV whilst on holiday, or whether some of us are more, or less cultured than others. And we certainly don't want to be judging fellow posters (unless that's what they've asked us to do). All the guy wants is an answer to his question. Unfortunately I don't know the answer, but what I do know is - each to their own. |
