Work is plentiful in Whistler (provided you have a visa) and you will be able to sort something when you arrive. Accommodation more difficult to find.

what length did you go for? the 84s or 93?
I've thought about getting these too - but each yuear i seem to pussy out. maybe for 08.. |

It sounds as if your technique is good. I personally think that ski chatter is always going to happen to a certain extent on very hard/ icy pistes (like the ones you describe in CT.) However, using a stiffer ski (both torsionally and in flex) will reduce this markedly.

If you just learning almost any resort will be fine. however, I would difinitely choose western canda as the snow and climate are both much better. Personally we love whistler - the snow is reliable and facilities are great. Off the mountain, there is loasds to do as well.

I also have poor circulation. I certainly reccommend mittens over gloves. I find Hestra work well. I am sure you know this, but it is critical to get mitts/gloves with removable inners so they dry quickly overnight. Also, fit is important too!
