No compromise for people up to advanced intermediates. In fact, quite the opposite. The additonal comfort means that the skier has more control.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've been away with work.
If you want to throw one into the equation, the Volkl V-xplosivs totally rip off piste. The Scream 10 Hots may be a good bet. A guy I know has just ordered a pair in 187, but he tends to be someone who likes long skis (maybe making up for short in other areas) If you do get them, let me know what you think. |

I think the extra is supposed to be the extra width. In my eyes, under 70 would be considered normal, and not mid-fat, under 80 is mid-fat, over 80 is offpiste, and over 100 is just plain crazy

What are you wanting from the ski?
% on piste/ % off? Is it Utah type powder? Euro Powder? Do you want speed? Do you do bumps? Need more info. (Personally, I'm 6ft, about the same weight and use K2 Axis X Pros (181) as my all mountain ski and Salomon 3Vs (165) for performance on piste) :! |
