Hi
My group is thinking of heading to Chamonix next year. I am a bit apprehensive as it looks like a resort for "good" skiers. I have been on a few trips in recent years and can ski greens and blued reasonably. I can get down reds safely, but not easily. I dont much like blacks but I have been on a couple. Will I be OK and Chamonix? Thanks TS |

Just back today from next door Val D'Isere and there is absolutely tons of snow.
Snowed ALL day yesterday (Friday). And pretty much every day since Tuesday. We had amazing powder (6 inches) on Tuesday - it all fell after the pistes weer bashed. The snow is about perfect! Enjoy. |

When you say 5 minutes walk - is this in ski boots with skis etc? Is there Wifi in the Marsala? Were the slopes busy? |

Did you use the chardons red run down (looks like it passes rocks on the left - or did you stick to the blue melezes? The reason I ask is I am wondering how difficult the chardons is. Hi,
I was looking at google earth and came across some options where people have uploaded their day's skiing. I believe this is done by recording the day on a GPS recorder and uploading this to a PC. I just want this for fun as opposed to anything serious so I dont want to spend a lot of money on it. Any advice on products and how to use them would be appreciated. Thanks |

I think the Sache would be beyony out ability! I understand it is probably the most difficult run in the Espace Killy region.
However, we do plan to ski down to Les Brevieres on the blues which I believe is a nice run and not too difficult. How long would it take to ski from the top of aiguille percee down to 1550 (going fairly easy)? What was the snow like last week at 1550? |
