Mr Nelly made me 'tell him a story' this morning, which involved going through our schedule from Friday morning to Sunday morning, to include travelling times, food and beverage stops and running up and down the hotel corridor in excitement.
Excited much?

On the weather front I am obviously loking every couple of hours.
For France at least - cooling off considerably towards the weekend and some precipitation around as well.
Looks like a bit of rain below about 1200m as far as I can tell.
Austria and Switzerland looking at precipitation too but I don't have the resort height knowledge to comment on snow heights etc.

Andy I'm no expert on weather conditions but surely the melting (Middle of this week) then refreezing next weekend is not good?

It'll melt, I think there's been a bit of rain around in places as well but ...
There is buckets of snow in most places and this will stay (just get a bit less).
So ...
As the temperature cools again the snow will harden up and once the pisties and their machines have had a go the piste conditions will improve again. Hopefully things will then get back to a more usual pattern for the time of year with firm, but not rock hard pistes in the morning that have been effectively groomed, getting a bit softer (but not full blown slush!) as the day goes on.
Pretty sure this weeks "heatwave" will have got rid of most powder and I expect good off-piste will be hard to find until the next snow falls.
Anyway - that's my positive stance and I'm sticking with it.
