Hi All,

This is my first post so be gentle!

We're off to Les Gets in the 3rd week of january so can anyone recommend a good ski hire shop? I see they have an Intersport and Michaud.....any preference?

Secondly I'll be buying some OTG Goggles (probably Bolle Y6) - what is the recommended lense colour for all weather use?

Cheers

Welcome to J2ski. I can't help with Les Gets as it's been years since I was there. As regards the OTG goggles, it's important to try the goggles to make sure they fit properly. Aim to use a really small pair of specs. Lens colour for all round use, avoid the mirror finishes, they block lots more light, great for sunshine, awful in low light. I like an orange lens, again try the tint to see. Rose tints seem quite popular. I like the idea of seeing the world in a Rose tint :D

Thanks Bandit. I'm trying to find a stockist so I try out the Goggles befoer buying...I was looking at the Modulator Vermilion (Cat. 1-2) lens as the tint reacts to the light. Has anyone used these?

My glasses are small so should be fine, only problem is that I might be able to see my glasses frame plus the goggles so quite a 'busy' view. Not sure I can hack wearing lens in cold dry air for 7 straight days though which is the only alternative. I'll probs' try a bit of both.

I've always used Nevada Sports - found them to be very helpful & friendly. We used to leave all our kit there overnight with our boots on the drying/heating racks. http://www.nevada-lesgets.com

Have a great time!
