I've been using the LEKI "Trigger" system glove for the last two seasons (same pair of gloves) and after more than 180 days use there are now some signs of wear :(

At first I found the whole Trigger thing fiddly and awkward and the first few beers I tried to drink were mostly spilt :(

However, after “adapting” to the concept I find them very easy to use.

Bizarrely, on the very last day of the season I departed from the hostelry only to find that someone had accidentally taken one of my poles and left one of theirs both were LEKI Triggers but theirs were the thinner type.

Popping into the shop at the weekend to replace my mismatched pair, I discovered that LEKI have now introduced a new “Trigger S” pole. To my eye the concept looks very weak (a tiny piece of thread to connect me to the pole) but has anyone else had thoughts on the design?

Luckily, I can still get the old style too so no problem :)

Oh, and as for the gloves? Fantastic! Warm, supple, VERY hardwearing and easy to maintain.

I use a Columbia jacket, it has an inner hardshell and a waterproof outer shell, same sort of system?

Well put it this way, I wouldnt wanna be on a Glacier in late December with it and nothing else. I resisted reading all the bumpf, I would have nothing to do tomorrow then )

Yeeaaahh, but, you already have a whole Spyder outfit, which seems quite new. Are you sure about this...I mean, if you are bored, you could send the money to me, and I can spend it for you, well, for me, okay...on me :D

I have resisted so far, and I am sorry Bandit, I could find plenty of other things to spend 150 EUR on )
