Doing a lot of 1 legs squats throughout day but ultimate strength totally disappeared! Started again lifting 35% on Squat and 40% on Dead Lift, when compared to pre-surgery. Long way still to go and winter is coming fast. Minimum 3.5months to drag body out this hole.
For sure in part conditioning was a contributing factor to injury. No time to lose would be my suggestion for those skiing in Dec-Jan.
Ranchero - it sounds like you've had a pretty rough time. I've forgotten - was this a ski injury and what happened? Best of luck with getting fit again for the coming season :D
BB - I thought you kept yourself fit all year round? Anyway - going out on a mountain bike sounds like pretty good exercise.
My get fit training yesterday was going to a theme park and walking up about a zillion stairs to go down loads of rides - there was practically no queueing because it's out of season now. The roller coaster reminded me a tiny bit of carving really fast, and feeling horribly sick on a little kids ride made me question the wisdom of buying a ticket on the coach for a 3 hour transfer. I think I will see if I can buy one/several of those 'special' bags!
