blimey o'reilly, it was completely mobbed
we went along for a two hour tuition session at the cut price they offer on a wednesday. We've decided we'd rather pay full price from now on . We started on the beginner slope to find our legs and there were 7, yes 7, large group lessons on the small slope. Three of those were absolute beginner ski lessons and two were non-turning boarder lessons. It was absolute carnage and I couldn't get my legs at all for fear of the amount of people. Health and safety, schmafety.
Once we got on the main slope it wasn't so bad, still extremely busy and not as enjoyable as you'd want because queuing for the lift took an age and you rarely had a clear run. We figured out that in the second hour we only got to do six runs of the main slope .
Still, that aside, it took me a good hour to get back to anywhere near where I was after my day of learning (because of the busy slopes) but, once we got to the top of the main slope, it started to fall back into place and the last three runs were glorious.
My only problem is other people. If I go near anyone I just fall over as I don't want to harm anyone with my control not being what it should be yet. I'll get over it once I'm more confident, hopefully.
I've still come away buzzing and much lighter in the pocket as mr-a is now in possession of a new jacket, boarding gloves and these sallopettes http://www.snowandrock.com/the-north-face-men's-monte-cargo-pant/ski-pants/ski-snowboard-outdoor-sports/fcp-product/6878 for his birthday tomorrow
Apparently it's quiet monday, tues or thurs morning or sunday evening if you don't mind it chopped up.

Have to agree with your desire to get some sliding done with space to turn. Once you get a few more hours in, you can start to use the learners as turn markers :D

thanks Eljay :D
Tony, mr-a looks pretty cool in those trousers. Mr Mac's met him, he'll know )
and I KNOW you just wanna give it a go...
I seem to go against the grain where it comes to boarders. I apologised a couple of times today and even called myself a "bloody boarder" to the people behind me when I missed a pommel
