Not one I know, initially it looked like one in the Altiport area where I have stayed, but the website suggests its the other side of town.grannyluvsdub wrote:Hi all, has anyone stayed at chalet hermione or either of its neighbour chalets? Thanks Tony_H. My thoughts too - we were anticipating taking the whole chalet with mates but had a variety of lame excuses otherwise I might have thought a little differently about it!
Have had long conversations with Zenith (the chalet / holiday co.)they seem to know what they are on about at least and have been v. helpful in finding out any local info that they didn't already have on tap. Will try to report back on return in mid Feb. Already getting excited - 1st snow seems to be falling about now!

Great resort,we used to own an appartment there and like all the previous post say it has everything. The runs are varied, and you can nearly always find a quit area if you ski away from the main the main resort, head toward Vaugany or Auris. There is a good variety of restuarants and bars, dont be afraid to wander up some of the smaller side streets in the old part of the town you could be plesently surprised what you can find behind a wooden door.Lots to do for families as well, consider the visalp pass for families.Good english run ski school 'Masterclass'.Think you will enjoy it

Were Zenith any good? Just been reading about them on another forum re: Serre Chevalier:

I went in January this year, it was the first time our trip had taken us here. The skiing is good, no doubt about that, lots of variety and challenges. The town itself is a real drawback, a ghost town until after 9pm so the early apres ski that we have enjoyed in the 3V and Lech (to mention 2) is non existent, unless you want the Folie. Would we go back? Probably not, we found it's all a bit soulless and when compared to other places (Morzine, Les Arcs, etc...) there are better places to choose. Only my opinion of course, and I'm glad we went but I would go for others above it. Good luck in making your choice!
