New skis

Rentals are not usually heavy as a rule, although to be fair rental bindings can be. It depends what you have skied on before as rental ski.
I have had all sorts of different skis thrown at me in the past, long before I got to know more about what was what. Fischer, Blizzard, Elan, Salomon....

Its great to have new skis to try out.

Two weeks time and going to Banff skiing Sunshine and lake louise

Yeh, a fair amount + did the season there a couple years ago. Love it!
