Jackson is an incredible place, I would love to have another trip out there.
I'd say if you're an intermediate who prefers the easier runs then you're not going to get the most out of the area. It's one that suits the experts with blacks, chutes and in bounds off piste.
Having said that you'll have a great time, it's a fabulous place with wonderful people. There is suitable terrain for you, but it's in the minority.
It was February when I went, but looking at the average snow levels, you should be fine at Christmas. Average snowfall is just under a metre on the lower slopes.
