OK, so any ideas for where we can rent a house (not a condo) without having to take a second mortgage out in the Winter Park area ?

Hi
We went to Vermont (Killington) over New Year 08/09. Initially it was so warm the snow was melting. The weather changed turning the water to ice. It was then so cold only the hardiest could manage more than 2 runs before returning to thaw out. On our last day it snowed. The resort struggled to keep the runs open, with very noisy snow canons going all day. Some of the lifts are very old and slow and the queues at the bottom are due to each ticket being checked manually at every lift, with lots of lifts travelling empty. I missed the beauty and tranquillity of the alps, not to mention the food.
Overall rather disappointing and I wouldn't return
