the week i am planning is a week after school holidays and presidents day/week
went to lake tahoe last year for my first usa skiing trip and it was ace, i am still going to go to europe every year but first skiing trip is going to be the states somewhere.

I think Whistler/Blackcomb would be ideal for you-great nightlife and unlimited expert terrain + good heli skiing should you decide to foray into that sorta thing

My mate went to Breckenridge not so long ago, and said it was fantastic skiing and good nightlife too. I think it does involve quite a bus ride to the slopes though.
