I'm from Australia. We went in a group of 10 family members to damuls in Austria and we had 150cm at top over 22 to 29 Dec. White Christmas box ticked! Was amazing. I had zero issues everywhere accepted cards even little places. We drove over border from Germany no border stops and presented our PCR test on arrival at the accom. Prices seemed good at damuls for on mountain food and drink.

Just to extend this forum... had anyone got any insight on how the 10pm curfew is hitting atmosphere? Are most bars / restaurants still opening, but closing early? Or are there some that aren't opening at all? Do resorts still have "buzz"? And how are hotel bars handling it? Are they completely closing at 10pm, even to their own residents? Any insight welcome.

We were in Lech 13-27 Dec. Didn't go out of the hotel after dinner but there was definitely a nice atmosphere before 7pm in the village. Quite a few places had outdoor bar/seating and heating but also could have a nice time indoors.
The hotel bar was definitely serving drinks after dinner.
But that was in December, no idea what the regulations in Austria are now, sorry

Not sure about the rules for the children. You will have to open and read the info from the links below. They have links to local government sites in English as well. But for adults only us possible:

"The UK is designated as a high-risk area by Germany. This means that travellers arriving from the UK, who are not fully vaccinated, are subject to 10-day quarantine, and test and release is available after 5 days. Fully vaccinated and recovered individuals are exempt from this requirement, once they have uploaded their proof of status on the pre-departure digital registration portal."
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/germany/entry-requirements
"Austria will accept the UK's proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record and proof of COVID-19 vaccination issued in the Crown Dependencies. If you are travelling with a printed PDF proof of vaccination status, it must date from after 1 November 2021 to ensure that the certificate can be scanned successfully. Austrian immigration officials will insist on QR codes, as provided by the UK COVID Pass, as proof of vaccinations and boosters, and have denied entry to those without this evidence. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of full vaccination.
The negative molecular biological test ((PCR, LAMP, TMA) must not be older than 48 hours at time of entry."

We desided to drive from England to Austria and now checking all the countries on the way :) All fully vaccinated adults. Will post once we manage to reach Austria. Unless they kick us out like Djokovic and deport back to UK

Well, I am due out there in three weeks.

Originally planned to drive, but because I need to stop overnight on this journey because of a physical condition, we have decided that it was just going to be too silly and expensive getting PCR's that would still be valid when we got to Austria.

Cut the story short, but having found some pretty decent flights (as far as I am concerned) with Jet2 to Salzburg, we are now going to fly for the first time in almost 20 years. £170 return including hold and ski bags seems good to me. That's 44kg of luggage each :)

Who knows, all these silly rules may mean that we will fly more in future instead of using greener options like driving or trains.

Successfully arrived by car in Austria. Did a PCR test at 16:35pm on Sunday and dropped it in Randox box which is collected by 5 pm. Later on took a lateral test, as an insurance for France, in case we don't get our PCRs in time.
Next day, Monday, we took Irish ferries from Dover at 11:45am. They checked the test and vaccination pass, didn't ask us for the signed declaration. By the way, before we reached the ferry we got our PCR results.
France,Belgium and stayed overnight in Luxembourg. Next morning, today Tuesday, we continued to Germany and now in Austria. Bear in mind FFP2 masks required in Germany and Austria, vaccination passes should be always ready for scanning if you want to sit for a meal or coffee. If it is takeaway, you don't need it.
No checks on the borders once we entered France.
