It matters little because they are all EPIC resorts that are seamlessly interlinked
Enjoy

If you are on a budget La Tania is a good option too. It's right beside Courchevel but far cheaper with a lot of good value chalets. Good access to everywhere in the three valleys and a fabulous piste back down to the town,
When in doubt?....Flat out.

A less costly option also is Brides-les-Bains. A long morning gondola to start up to Meribel, but the start time for the gondola is earlier than the normal lifts to avoid time being wasted. Once in Meribel, of course, the three valleys are your oyster.

The beauty of the 3 valleys is that it is so well linked.
La Praz is the cheapest of the Courchevel (1350) options should be well covered with snow so you can ski back to the village/town.
Les Menuires is cheaper as is the "Hamlet" of Reberty just above although Reberty has much less accomodation.

In 2011 I had a group of 35 based in LA TANIA at the Hotel Montana.... a great choice for price and amenities. While not a true village or town but a smaller collection of some shops, restaurants, and lodging we had great ski access from there....a lift practically right by the hotel took us up and from there go left to ski all the Courcheval areas or go right to ski Meribel, etc.
This coming mid- March our ski club (Philadelphia based) returns to Les 3 Vs but going up high to Val Thorens and doing a week at the all inclusive Club Med!

Meribel Motterat, from there you can get to any point in 3V within an hour.

We stayed at Mottaret and as mentioned above it is high up and central with good access to Val Thorens.
