Scott and Decathlon are selling backpacks with built in back protectors that seems to be a nice idea....

That sounds like a really smart idea. Do you have a link to the particular type of backpack?

Hi sorry to hijack the post but it is very closely related...

I take a group of pupils away every year and one of my pupils for this years trip has just had reconstructive rib surgery (not 100% sure on the details)

His mum was asking for the equivalent of a back protector for his ribs - was thinking one of these vests would be best.

Does anyone know of a make or website that I could recommend to her? He is 13 and quite small in stature so would need a s or xs probably.

I bought a Lite Pro Body Glove (or the other way round) and wore it all last season. Fantastic. Really comfortable, light and flexible. After a minute or two you don't know you're wearing it; a huge step forward from the first generation armadillo types. Highly recommended, but so far haven't had a serious crash. Fingers crossed I won't!
