Have you looked at flights. I'm going for a short break next week to tignes. I was looking to got to Austria as I have a contact there with a lovely pension but I couldn't find flights from a Thursday to a mondo/Tuesday. Well,I say couldn't, I found one that was mega ££ and instead of the usual 1 3/4 hour flight it was 7 hour withstop overs. You should be fine in your return flight but I'd check if you can get the thursday one sorted plus I agree with the other guys that you'd be more likely to get something closer to the time than now as no one would want to risk losing a weeks occupancy this far in advance over a weekend occupancy.

Not sure if this helps but we have long weekends in Obergurgl and Solden and never have a problem finding a hotel for a few nights. They are only 70 mins or so transfer from Innsbruck too.

We did a long weekend skiing in St Anton a few years back, we stayed at the Hotel Garni Rundeck 3 nights. Really easy for us as we just flew in to Zurich and take train the St Anton. Most painless transfer ever. Hotel short walk from the station.

Really great weekend and we've done St Anton a few times so great skiing for a short break.
Finally went off Piste!

Ski Line can help you with Short breaks, one of our tour operators Ski Weekends does what it says on the tin! Wanderer is right in that many hotelier became lazy after dealing with tour operators who delivered a fresh load of clients each Saturday. So now only accept 7 night bookings. But the clever hoteliers are realising Easyjet is bring 20 aircraft a day, every day from the UK to just Geneva airport. Thats a bigger and more profitable market for them than through the travel trade.

Ski Weekends have been clever in getting hotels to sign up for their mid week and weekend stays, they can even offer short breaks over the half term week if you book early enough.
