Hi
Been looking at the piste map, and to return to chalet run 33 is needed. from what I can see this is unpisted , that being so how difficult is it, I would class myself as an improving intermediate

Lech is one of our favourite places but Ski Route 33 is one of my least favourite runs and I always feel very relieved to reach the bottom! We tend to ski it in the morning, rather than afternoon when the legs are feeling tired, and have never managed to find it pisted. It has an annoying uphill slog in the early part too. It's a long run and can get quite busy as it is part of the White Ring circuit.

Thanks for advice
it was my intention to ski route 33 at the end of the day on route back to chalet, from what you are saying it will probably be in a poor state and above my level so my option is to finish in Lech and bus back, being particularly keen in taking part in a bit of apre ski, this may suit, anyone aware of any ski lockers near the lifts in lech, on order to dump skis etc,
many thanks

I am not aware of any public lockers, but if you are hiring skis/boots from one of the Lech hire shops, they can be stored there. The other option is to use a retractable wire combination lock thing which will at least stop someone accidentally walking off with your skis outside the Krone bar or the Pfefferkorn bar.

I didn't think run 33 was that bad. At the end of the day it does get a bit 'crusty', but it's by no means dangerous and if a nervous intermediate has a go then taking it easy will get them home in 1 piece. Alternatively you could always go into Lech and try a couple of the excellent bars!!!! You can even see the number 2 bus approaching from the bars.

There is no free Blue ski bus that goes to Stuben from Lech. The best way to get there is to get the Number 3 Blue Bus to Rauz Alp. Get on the short t bar but instead of going up the chair lift, go left and follow the blue piste down into Stuben (I think its Blue 2. You can then ski Stuben and St Anton. Get the blue bus No 3 from where you started at at Rauz alp back to Lech/Zug.
