I also agree March 12 is not late. The south facing slopes in La Plagne are mainly on the other side of the mountain - i.e. the runs down to Champagny. At the time you're going, snow in both resorts would statistically be fine. I would say La Plagne will be cheaper (but not cheap). Loads of blue cruising runs although, similar to most resorts, there are some blues tougher than others. If you're thinking of pottering around on greens, every La Plagne village has a small area for this; no long green runs anywhere that I can recall. I'd probably save a trip to Courchevel for a future time.

I don't remember any either but there is a nice cruisy blue down to Mont Albert also to Les Coches ..its much more interesting than Les Arcs but as Kenny said ..its not cheap ..food in the supermarkets and shops is expensive ..I think a phrase I used when I went was .."gold plated chicken".. but I would go back
