Was on that gondola only a couple of weeks ago

Glad I wasn't on it when this happened, though I suppose it would be quite a talking point. Not sure I'd ever the OH back on a lift if it happened to her .

Great that nobody was hurt :D.

I think drag lifts are much better than chair lifts or gondolas in high winds.

Nothing is good in high winds.

If they don't close lifts in high winds, you get situations like this: http://news.sky.com/video/1439840/dramatic-ski-resort-rescue

Great day today, sun and no wind.
Funny mountains all the best skiing is close to the resort, three excellent black runs all close enough to the bottom.
In saying that we had the whole resort skied by lunch time.
The Planibel is excellent and the food is very good but so far La Thuile is a bit crap.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

You must have missed a lot if you reckon you can ski the resort out in half a day. Red 4 takes about an hour on its own! Also stakes of more hidden runs over to the left , red 33 etc leading down to red 6. there are also a couple of runs, a red 4a and black 5 off blue 12 to join with red 4. You must ski faster than AllyG
Carving leaves me all on edge

We do tend to go quick enough.
Found more today on the way to La Rosiere which was far better. We preferred the skiing in Ros too and covered over 50kms today including a very long button lift back up to La Thuile.
Bald Eagleman, red 4 takes about twenty mins!
When in doubt?....Flat out.
