If I was doing what you are, I would consider, in reverse order:
Lech, 220km/3.0 hrs
Kaprun, 176km/2.5 hrs
Obertauern, 220 km/2.5 hr

So, then accomodation becomes the issue.

I will be in the Oetztal the same week. That would be a long stride from Munich.

We have been to Kaprun several times & love it,
the car drive up to the glacier is not ideal as we like to have a few alcohol beverages during the day.
In Kaprun, Resturant 'hamburger Biesl' & also 'Dorfgrug' are excellent.
Hotel Kaprunerhof is great.

For our next trip our minds are not yet made up.
Snow condition, accomodation availability & commute time will determine.
