We are lucky in living close by but we have our favourites. This year we are trying new resorts though - this weekend Guzet and next La Mongie and Luz Ardiden. And though unpopular here we like Grandvalira a lot! Though as we only ever go for 2 days we perhaps have an unrealistic view of skiing there for a week!!

I'm going to Soldeu in the Granvalira in just over a week. Went 5 or 6 years ago and was surprised how well they coped with a bad snow year because they really made a lot of snow. This year there seems to be an abundance so unless there is a radical heatwave next week my friend who said it never snows in the Pyrenees may have to eat his words!

Friends went last week and said the snow was fabulous! We have skiied there mid December through mid April and always had snow - though it can be patchy! No such problem at the mo though! We are off there and Vallnord in March.

The snow was excellent at Guzet - shame that it was actually snowing AGAIN though!! Visibility was poor and there was quite a wind so we didn't explore as much as we had hoped! Lovely little station though!

Snow is forecast all week! Hopefully will have stopped by Friday as we are off to Luz and La Mongie!
