How did you find the R 78's? I read good reviews on those.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

You must surely do a piece on "ski beautifully all week with grace, style and no falls - get near an instructor and suddenly become Bambi on ice"

Top stuff BB 8)

Nice and responsive (when actually attached to my feet!). I didn't venture off piste very much but will be gearing up for more exploring next time round.

BB, without wishing to sound like your mother. I am currently 7 months into rehab from doing something equally not so smart. Skiied this morning for first time in 9 1/2 months (currently restricted to uphill only).

Photo 2: leaning back, no weight on left ski which is now in "phantom foot position".
Photo 3: ACL snapping dream position, weight all infront of left knee. Weird angle between hip, knee toe.

Had your bindings not released (which they are not really designed to in those positions), you would not have been a happy chappy.

Obviously, like everyone have done similar, less style. Just an observation having spent lot of sofa time reading about body mechanics and avoiding repeat of ACL rupture misery.

Edited 1 time. Last update at 09-Jan-2013

You do sound like my dear old ma!! -)

In reality the crash was a lot more slow-mo than the pictures may imply. I felt obliged to shower my children with snow every time they stopped ahead of me!! All part of the fun of skiing!!

Best of luck with your knee rehab.
