They obviously give you a better chance, providing you're able to pull the trigger in time and don't get swept over a cliff or into some trees. They can also save your mates a lot of effort

Bought one today. Mammut slimeline fella with snowpulse tech. Fully compliant canister and a airbag system you can switch between bags (Mammut of course) which makes a massive amount of sense as somedays you just use lifts and want the protection and others when you will be hiking up and want to carry board/skis on your back along with extra clothes etc.
Expensive business mind. 800 chf with cartridge.
