Seems to be the norm that almost everyone woke up to a bacon sandwich for breakfast...... No better way to start your day.

I was initially planning to ski on New Year's Day but I've got a blister on my left ankle, by 31st skiing got really painful and I was struggling to flex my left foot, so had to change my plans and went out till silly hours both on New Year's Eve and Jan 1st. Don't have to go back to work till Thursday and wanted to ski all these days, but returned home. Hopefully my foot will heal by Saturday - another big dump of snow is supposed to be on its way and I want to ski it...

Its the poo monkey. He steals all your money, knocks you over the head, throws your clothes all over the room and poos in your mouth.

So naughty.

I felt ok yesterday, possibly still a bit tipsy, had quite a civilised dinner with friends (my drinking partner in crime is pregnant so that might have something to do with it), had another turkey dinner yesterday and the last wine of the month. On the wagon for the whole of January (apart from my birthday).

Happy New Year!

PS - TH hows the holiday hunt going? Quite a few bargains around I've seen.

That monkey hasnt visited me for a while.

Nearly all the Xmas beer has gone, but we've still got a few bottles of Cotes du Rhone Villages floating around. I think I've put 2lbs on in 2 weeks which isn't a major problem.

Now its time to strengthen the legs up as its under 3 weeks until ski time for me......when I finally book something.

Nelly, waiting for a phone call this morning to confirm if a deal I have been negotiating on has been confirmed. Or not. Last 2 rooms in a very nice hotel somewhere in France, one of which is a triple and I'm not prepared to pay the under occupancy supplement. Its basically half price reduced from £700!!!!
